What is the “Slate of Hate?” The General Assembly’s Recent Anti-LGBTQIA+Enactments and Their Effects on LGBTQIA+ Kentuckians

The 2023 Kentucky General Assembly Regular Session resulted in numerous new anti-LGBTQIA+ laws. This legislation colloquially labelled the “slate of hate,” is filled with provisions that stand to harm to the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly trans citizens, as well as create legal issues related to protected rights and enforcement issues.
This program will educate the legal community about the legislation, the intended and actual effects of the legislation and inherent enforcement problems.
