This joint program of the Probate and Estate and Litigation Sections will address practical pointers for handling settlement of personal injury and wrongful death matters involving deceased individuals or minors. The program speakers will cover all aspects of the process from the perspective of the Probate Court Judge, Public Administrator's Office, and private practitioners. Strategies and practice pointers will be provided for getting settlements approved in circuit and district court, handling the case in Probate Court both before and after settlement, and ways in which the Public Administrator's Office can help in the process.
