Are you ready to take The Challenge?
In February, the LBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee is inviting all LBA members to participate in the American Bar Association’s 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge.
Each day, participants will be asked to complete short assignments with a goal of helping participants become, “more aware, compassionate, constructive, engaged people in the quest for racial equity.” Assignments include readings, videos and podcasts exploring issues from implicit bias to maternal mortality in the Black community to economic inequity.
At the conclusion of The Challenge, we’ll host a virtual panel discussion with a group of participants to talk about what they learned from the process and how those learnings may have changed their perspectives. Not sure if you’ll be able to complete all the assignments? That’s OK — just complete as many as you can. And if you’re ready to commit to The Challenge and share your thoughts on what you learned during our virtual forum, please e-mail LBA Communications Coordinator Shannon Greer at sgreer@loubar.org.
